This led to more lost and delayed shipments, all of which compromised the supply chain in many ways.

These include electronic charts, identification systems, GPS, and radar. The risk of a ship getting lost or grounded has been significantly reduced because of this technology. 2. Connectivity Solutions Lead to More Morale

If there is one thing any human desires, it is contact with others. Back in the good old days, a ship at sea only had radio systems on the bridge to stay in contact with the mainland. Ship-to-ship contact and communication inside a vessel were easy enough. Outside communication was nonexistent. Other technologies exist too, all of which make shipping companies far better at what they do. There are tons of new advances happening right now. Some of it is still being researched, while others are well on their way to becoming the norm. With this rise in technology, there isn’t much that is impossible in the world of shipping today.
