With the start of the 2013/14 Barclays Premier League only days away, American fans can look forward to unrivalled coverage of the “most watched football league in the world,” on NBC Sports. NBC Sports takes over the broadcast rights from ESPN and Fox Soccer, in a deal worth $250 million over three years. Obviously, having spent so much money on such a valuable asset, NBC have been heavily promoting it through various forms of media.
Watch their slick video that summarises what the English Premier League is all about and what happened last season, as well as a funny faux-documentary about an American coach, unfamiliar with England’s brand of football, taking over at London club Tottenham Hotspur. There are also some short clips that further explore the fans passion for the game.
