BlackBerry is the right choice for those who love small screens, physical keyboards or are hooked on BBM. This operating system is made by Research In Motion (RIM), a Canadian company. It brought revolution in the field of smartphone years ago, however it is struggling to keep up recently.

Android

You can find this OS in majority of the smartphones and is developed by Google. It looks similar to iOS in many aspects, but it includes customisable widgets and homescreens.

Select A Wireless Carrier (US)

The carrier will be the determining factor for your selection of phone unless you are about to buy a Galaxy or iPhone. In the US, everything is ruled by wireless carriers. The major networks are Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T. Some smaller carriers that hold small market shares are Cricket, US Cellular, Ting, Metro PCS, and Boost. Verizon

Verizon is the only carrier with the nationwide network of 4G LTE. It delivers faster speeds and is the most expensive carrier in US. Verizon covers the BlackBerry, Android and iPhone devices.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile is the most flexible carrier with regards to prices and plans. However, it doesn’t deliver high speed. This carrier covers the BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Android devices.

Sprint

Sprint is struggling to compete with Verizon and AT&T. Although 4G was first delivered by this carrier, it hasn’t been great when it comes to deployment of the high-speed 4G network. Sprint only covers Android and iPhone devices.

AT&T

This carrier has dominated the market share. AT&T has the wide range of devices available.
