It’s also worth noting that this applies to practically any size of restaurant, as even the smallest ones can still have a sizeable cooking area and refrigerator. When budgeting your new restaurant, you might want to look for ways to cut down on costs from transitioning to a larger area. For instance, you can invest in commercial refrigeration parts in bulk in order to help cut down on maintenance costs. These parts can then hold you over during the long term management of your restaurant.

2. Location Becomes King

With a food truck, one of the biggest advantages you have is that you can adapt your location as needed. Instead of gambling on a single spot, you can go exactly where you need to go at any given moment. Of course, this also has its own unique set of downsides. For instance, sometimes you might find that you’ve missed potential sales because you were no longer in the area that someone thought you would be when they wanted whatever you were selling. Similarly, people like to go to the familiar, and they’ll be more likely to visit your restaurant if they know it’s not going to suddenly disappear down the block on a whim.

While there are plenty of differences between food trucks and restaurants, this should give you enough of an overview that you can consider the challenges on your own.
