Introducing Seattle’s Funky Electronic Rock Four-Piece ‘Gumshen’

What do you get when four prog and indie rock veterans run head first into the worlds of EDM and electronica? You get Gumshen, a group known for their fearless experimentation and willingness to do “whatever the song requires.”

Fans of LCD Soundsystem, Pink Floyd and Chromeo should enjoy Gumshen’s latest offering “DIGIBITES” – the sound of a band doing what they want to do. Last year Nanobot Rock voted Gumshen in the top 10 discoveries of 2014.

Gumshen is a Seattle based group that incorporates thumping electronic beats with several variations of rock and funk that perfectly complements their wacky live show with illuminated clothing and glowsticks.

Citing diverse influences from Pink Floyd to Chromeo, the four-piece has been churning out releases since 2007, in addition to racking up acclaim for live performances at events such as Seattle Hempfest and Bite of Seattle with artists such as Minus the Bear and the Presidents. Last year Nanobot Rock Reviews voted Gumshen in the top 10 discoveries of 2014.
